NC US-6947 #55 Sandhills State Game Land 

73 QSO’s with my 20 meter homemade dipole.  13 CW 60 SSB. I had a little trouble with my cw part of the activation I think I created a little short in my wire when I straightened it out it was better. CW is intense for me but I am trying. 

What a fun activation!  I made contacts with  Morse code and voice on a 20 meter antenna that I built!  Not bragging it was very unusual for me to build antennas in my 40 year history of amateur radio.  

When I got ready for voice contacts one activator cleared and I operated on that frequency.  When I cleared another activator asked if he could take that frequency and did so. 

I am preparing my Ford Flex for camping when I took a break from POTA I practiced my outdoor cooking skills. This park allows camping but only in designated dates and area.  I hope to expand my range in 2026 and add camping to my POTA activities.

In other news I was introduced to AI and started to learn how to use it.  I submitted the log and asked it for a report. And how I could improve my signal.  Very interesting report I am not posting results here because I hadn’t analyzed the information but it was interesting.  I may be late to the party about AI.
