Richmond County Amateur Radio Club’s charter dated back to November 19, 1978, signed by then president K5UR and club secretary NY2RF.

In 2024, the club voted to adopt an updated logo that preserved key elements of the original while increasing the sizes of those elements to better read in a variety of formats. The updated logo also provided file formats that made it easier to print and embroider in a variety of media.
